I searched "sights" in the General, Modifications, Art of Shooting and Competitions forums and found limited info. What I found was that the great majority of shooters shoot intuitively, laser and red dot sights are apparently prohibited in competition and 1 or 2 shooters felt that front end-mounted card type sights are helpful and worth using.

I'm considering using just a simple ring or card mounted on top of the pipe, near the muzzle and I'm curious--- would the improvement in accuracy make it worth using a sight like that? Any experiences would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

I have never used one. Seems like it would interfere in how I see the target. I probably should give it a go just in case it would help me and then I can make a definite decision on their usefulness or lack of.

See the Gallery, enhancements. There are pix there showing how to make Bruce Bell's parallax compensation sight. The best thing about it, is it can be adjusted on the fly for different distances. Glue a small bead on one prong, when the beaded and non-beaded prongs align over the bulls-eye, your barrel is perfectly aimed. Not the only issue is YOU getting the dart to where the barrel is aimed! (That is where MY teaching method comes into play.)
