Hello everyone,

I am 33 years old. And more by accident (handicraft drive) came to blowpipe sport. When I was young, I started shooting with an air rifle/air pistol and CO2 pistols. The whole at home in your own 4 walls (basement). And today it's the blowgun.:D

A self-made from a curtain rod. It is approximately .42 caliber (10.5mm) and approximately one meter long. I used a small funnel as a mouthpiece. I made the darts myself from roulade skewers and paper. My blowgun has a mark, the tube was slightly bent at one end. That's why I put the mouthpiece there so that I have a straight pipe at the muzzle.

I'm generally looking for tips on blowgun sport, especially for me as a beginner?

Best regards

Christian

Glad to see found the site there’s not many of us on here some it’s to see someone new. Shooting with a bent tube is going to be tough. I started with the small caliber blowguns but I have been shooting the .625 for many years now and won’t go back. I love hunting rabbits and squirrels and the occasional dove. My advice would be practice and practice if you have a buddy it helps to shoot together. If you ever looking into buying a blowgun I recommended the cold steel blowguns with the heavy 3mm wall. I’m not sure of your location but there is also a blowgun maker from Jesenik Czech Republic that has some nice guns as well, that web site is alexbow. Good luck and keep shooting

Greetings, The most commonly used competition targets in France,Germany, Japan and the U.S. Have three scoring zones measuring 6, 12 and 18cm. I often tell newbies to start training at a shorter range and when they stop hitting outside the 12cm circle, they are ready to shoot at a greater distance. If you make your own targets, the 12mm circle is the same size as a standard DVD. Enjoy
