Cold Steel 5 Ft Professional.

Well we all know the CS (Cold Steel) Blow gun, I just got the 5ft professional and in many ways as all the others have praised its greatness it does live up. It is very solid, heavy and packs a punch, However I am so disappointed in the cones that came with the BG (Blow Gun) Some where deformed so bad that they could not even be shot and others where so oversized that they could not be shot and where ruined with the extraction of stuck darts. I did order extra mini broad heads when I ordered the BG and all of them look round and from the ones I have shot are a good fit. I have not talked to CS or the place where I purchased it from to see what they say. It would be really nice if they would just send me some new cones because that is the only problem. We will see more after Christmas. I hope to have a Video up and more photos soon.
Check out the gallery and I will update it after Christmas I really do not want to put a negative spin on what should be a great BG but for the price and title Professional I do expect better quality all the way around!

Update as of 01/07/13
I got home from work today to find a box with a ups label. The seller Cold steel Arizona actually did more then they said. When I spoke with them about the damaged and poor cones they asked what I wanted them to do. I told them that some new cones (12 all together) is all I wanted and they could just send it cheap. Instead they gave me all new darts with cones. I know it is not much but it is nice to see a company spend the extra and go the extra mile to make things right. I know I will order form them again. I do like sticking with companies I can trust and they earned mine!!!!

Congrats on the new blowgun! I'd love to get ahold of one. Poor quality control or just left pressed for too long

in a box those cones?

I'd def contact CS and see what they can do for you. I've dealt with them before and they've been super with

customer service. Let us know how you make out. :)
I am about to get the same one. Thanks for the heads-up on the darts!
Congrats on thet new CS, it's a hell of a bg. Sucks about the cones though. Mine weren't even remotely like that. Looks like they have been exposed to heat. Hope you get it squared away.
I notice that the quality control of many Cold Steel products is on the decline, Many of the various throwing knife and machetes I have ordered come with a dull edge I have always been a big fan but have been seeing a big decrease in quality lately. This is also being reported by other customers in product reviews posts.I hope they fix the problem soon. They have a great line of fun stuff.
I didn't realize the professional was so inexpensive! I think I may be getting one soon. Good to know about the darts, thank you.
Wow those cones are awful! Never seen them like that. Warm water may help. I would call them and get some replacements shipped.
Just got off the phone with the seller and they are going to send me some new cones to fix me up. I well let you know how things work out.

Sounds like a good seller. Do you have the link to their site?

Yes I do it is https://www.coldsteelarizona.com/ I posted something in the General board about places to buy from with a little info as well.
I got my last Cold Steel Pro from Walmart. Ordered it online for what I recall was a fair price, maybe $35 and had it shipped to store for free local pick up. I looked for them just now and they aren't there. Didn't even see the forty calibers online. Must have been a limited trial run.
Just put the end with the cone into nealry boiling water for a few seconds and then push them into the barrel to cool them down.

Works well for me, really pretty fitting cones if treated this way.

An update I will put this in the first post as well. I got home from work today to find a box with a ups label. The seller Cold steel Arizona actually did more then they said. Yes it is CS but there AZ office It is who CS automatically refers you to for replacement cones or any troubles. I do not see just cones on there site but I am sure if enough of us are asking for them they should start selling them again. There contact info is

Did you see the Lynn Thompson torture test of the tube? He swings at a stack of car tires on a pole, came away with an unbent BG. I guess if I can't kill my prey with the dart, I can sneak up on it and club it into gumbo.
