Just received my shipment of 15 packs of 50 cold steel spear heads.(750 pcs.) I examined all all the darts through the plastic and didn't observe one deformed cone. I am very pleased! I ordered off amazon and they were shipped from " Sword Demon". I think Cold Steel improved their quality control on the darts because the last 250 I ordered from Midway USA were good. I happy about that!

Yes, I concur. My order came directly from Cold Steel Arizona that a friend here in Mexico brought back from the USA into Mexico for me and I too was very pleased with the cones on a whole. The only thing I picked up on was oversized cones on the stun darts which was easily remedied.
