Fukiya darts

Over the last several days I have been trying to make at home some fukiya darts:
I made my own mandrel out of a long paper dart filled with plaster of paris. I tried foil paper (ok but gets wet as one side is paper), magazine paper (wet) and tonight cellophane wrap (too thin). So what does he use and where can i buy it (link please)? I am talking about the transparent and metallic looking darts he makes.
