This is why I'm sticking to blowguns. I just bought a new bow and it freaking broke. I spent $1500 on a Prime One STX 36 and the strings popped on it. Its crazy how much fun you can have with a blowgun that you build yourself and you would think that a more expensive toy would be that much more fun. It's not. and i Just had to spend another $79 on Prime One STX 36 bowstrings that weren't cheap either! Anyone else ever get an expensive toy just to realize that blowguns are better.

Blowguns are certainly a cheap hobby. That is for sure. With most of the newer compounds you HAVE to use a release. If you draw with your fingers and tweak the string at all .. it will pop off the cams. One of the reasons I got out of compound archery is that things are way too over the top these days. They are great for hunting but I like target shooting. And for that I will stick to slingshots, blowguns, and recurves.
