Ok, I am new at getting into this sport/hobby, but I am well read on it. (Im a searcher seeker or figure it out myself type of person)

I am curious, however, what you think about the avenger backpacker blowgun

Ok... here is the deal

I do understand that with a tube that puts together the ridges the pieces make can cause issues, and that a solid BG would be the better option.

My situation is, I don:t want a 4-5 footer shipped to my box. I do plan on making one, and just want some of the added parts to tinker with... at the same time experiment with shooting in general.

How do these fair? I am not expecting great, but would like to know if it is even worth it... I just dont want to be pissed at the choice.

Thanks

Well, I have never seen that particular one in person, but the joins look sturdy. If they joints are strong and have long engagement points the transition between sections can be pretty seamless. I would think you would be happy with it.
On the topic of where they are shipped, do they have Mailbox Etc type of places in Japan? You could always have long boxes shipped to an intermediate like that so you don't draw attention.

I have a US APO mailing address... I just dont want the big package :) especially since I plan on making one.... I am getting darts and such, and just thought this would be a good filler to balance the shipping cost.

That's one of the reasons I bought the Cold Steel 2 piece, for my backpack. I too realize one piece is better, but this worked out better for me.
I like the marketing on the Cold steel and it is easy to find many people who have used them. I have not heard anything negative. As far as the one you posted I have not heard of. If you do get it please make a great vid on it so we all will know what it is really like. LOL

Only the cols steel breakdown models are worth buying in my opinion. however you would then have two 2 foot sections. It looks like that one breaks down a lot smaller.
Another nice thing about the CS is you can get the 2 foot extension and make it a 7 footer. That is if you have the lungs to push it. The downside is the cost of the CS the cheapest I seen it was $42 USD and the extra extension was another $10 So pice wise you could get 2-3 of the OP for the price of the CS
Never had one. Looks like it is well made. I have had several 2 piece models that are well made. All the parts mated well. Made some of my own. I am not sure what the tool is called, but it is used to expand light tubes or pipes. I have used the set my father has to make a takedown 6 foot blowgun ( 3 sections) and it worked great. No air pressure seemed to be lost.

You can get the CS a little cheaper, but most places that have the better prices are out of stock. Worth every penny though.
the connections look decently strong....It should be fine
So have you made a decision? Is there a review on the way?
The connectors are very good especially on such a short unit. I have the same connector on a 2 pc. 6 ft. and it holds well and straight.

Yup.. I will get it next month... and of course a video review is a must :)
